Nov 27, 2014 Marks TWO years!

I can't believe it's been two years since my surgery. There have been some lows in the learning process of how to take care of myself, that's for sure.

For the most part, I am pretty normal...well, at least for me ;) Just a couple of things to look out for and now, I know what to look for so that there aren't any "incidents".

Since 2010, I've been having a difficult time. First the passing of my Mom. Then my diagnosis, on of all days, Hubby's 40th Birthday. Then, the passing of my Dad. Then my Cancer returns, resulting in major surgery. Then, the passing of my Father-In-Law. That's a lot for anyone to deal with.

Last year was a good year. We bought a one-story house that we just LOVE. It's got lots of room for everything we want to do plus a little extra. We had no incidents health wise, in fact, my Oncologist says I'm doing great!

This year has been pretty uneventful. Which, in my opinion, is a good thing. On the plus side, our family got bigger. My sister married her high school sweetheart and my niece had another healthy baby boy.

Since my anniversary falls on Thanksgiving this year, I know exactly what will be said while giving thanks tomorrow as we enjoy lunch with our family.

I'm thankful to still be here. Period. I know I don't make the right choices in diet, or habits, but I realize that in all actuality I should not be here and I am so very thankful that I had the doctors that I did that did not give up on me so that I can still be here today.

Here's hoping that 2015 is as good to us as 2013 and 2014 have been.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving surrounded by family, friends and football!

Go Cowboys! :)
